PROFESSOR LYRICAL

Professor Lyrical is a heavily decorated emcee possessing a legendary pen-game and world-class freestyle rapping abilities. Equally compelling is his "side-hustle" as an Associate Professor of Mathematics at the University of the District of Columbia where he also directs faculty development for its two-year associate degree programs within its embedded community college. Pro has also won countless MC battles and competed in some of the most prestigious in history (Battle for World Supremacy, Zulu Nation NYC, Pitch & Flow DC, Boston Super Bowl Battles, etc.). Professor Lyrical is an award winning emcee with a legendary pen-game.
Lyrical has taught well over 100 college courses at 12 different college and universities, spoken at over 100 institution, been a part of three Tedx Talk events, written songs for scores of corporate partners (athletic apparel companies, Fortune 500 companies, pro sports teams, political candidates, higher education, film placements, etc.) appeared in dozens of media stories, performed for several years for the Boston Celtics Stay in School events and activities and is the author of the world's first "albook" Put Em All To Shame.
He has been featured in the Chronicle of Higher Education, Boston Globe, Boston Herald, Lowell Sun, and various magazine cover stories. He has appeared on Discovery Channel's Animal Planet, WCVB/ABC-TV5-Boston's Chronicle and CityLine, WBZ/CBS-TV7-Boston's Urban Update, NBCUniversal/TV4-DC, School Ties (Paramount), Wheel of Fortune (as "Lyrical" w/his wife) and many more.
His debut album iNFiNiTi won for Album of the Year in the Mass Industry Committee Hip Hop Awards, where he was also nominated for Lyricist of the Year, Single, Collaboration, and Promoter of the Year. He has 6 vinyl 12-inch singles (X-Caliber (3), Invasion (2), Lyrical (1)), 6 albums (Professor Lyrical (3), Lyrical (1), X-Caliber (1), ProQuo (1)), and has won countless rap battles and poetry slams.
He earned a BS in Business and MS in Mathematics in his native city at UMass-Lowell, as well as a Doctorate in Higher Education from Northeastern University with a 3.933 GPA—while also teaching there as an Assistant Professor of Mathematics.
He is the husband to an amazing wife, Nicole, an entrepreneur, executive coach and former Director, Senior Director, and Vice President of Investor Relations & Corporate Communications for various Boston area biotech firms, who also holds a Black Belt in Taekwondo and is a world class vocalist. Together, they are the parents of their talented and gifted eight-year-old son, Henry, who is also a Black Belt in Taekwondo. Nicole and Henry both appear on ProQuo's debut album, iNSTANT BROTHERHOOD, and are featured in the song "Grandma Stories."
